Residents in the Turks and Caicos Islands are definitely happy about the rainfall from the tropical weather disturbance we are now being told has developed into Tropical Storm Cristobal.  We have not experienced any significant winds except strong gusts associated with thundershowers.  Rainfall has been almost constant since 6:30 this morning.

We are tucked in for the day.

Rain has been falling over most of Providenciales for a little over two hours.  No thunder and lightning,  and definitely no winds to suggest we are experiencing a tropical storm.  Grand Turk is reporting a steady breeze and overcast skies with no rain.

What remains of TS Bertha is edging nearer to the country this morning. Grand Turk is reporting rain but no significant wind at this time.  Residents on Providenciales can see high clouds moving in from the southeast. Birds are carrying on with their usual morning calls.  The rain, if it comes, will be a welcome break from the drought.
