The French weather service Meteo France, put the island under Red Alert, confinement. It's understandable, they don't want to be liable in case people get hurt, but frankly, the situation isn't that bad. Yes there are some strong wind gusts and heavy rains from time to time, but we're doing fine on St. Barts. There are not many people outside, and I don't know what the situation is on the western side of the island that is being battered by high waves, but I think we won't see much damage from this one. We'll just have to ride it out, and spend a Sunday looking at the rain.
