Grenada is still experiencing some of the worst rain it has had, according to the local people,in living memory at this time of year.  It is not letting up at all.  Last night it rained incessantly here in L'ans Aux Epines, this is traditionally the DRIEST part of the island and at this time of year we are shipping water in from other parts of the island by water tanker - now we need to ship it OUT - it has rained continually for the past three hours - when will it end ......................from the satellite - it looks like Grenada has been singled out for this lot - water boots out and foul weather gear is the dress of the day again!!!!

- It's Raining Cats and Dogs in Grenada

I don't know what it's like up the rest of the island chain, but here in Grenada it's raining cats and dogs and has been for most of the last two weeks - worst of which for me, being English, meant NO CRICKET - we wait for what seems like a lifetime for England to visit again, okay we don't get a Test, and only one One Day - but then it RAINS - and rains and rains and rains - congrats to St Lucia for managing to at least give the visiting fans and of course the West Indies fans some great cricket - but not only is the weather AWFUL here, but we have to wait FOUR more years for England to come - anyway I digress, the weather really is appalling in Grenada, not only is it bad for those who live here but the island's tourism is suffering because the poor tourists cannot see our beautiful island in all her glory, only rain and more rain - it just will not stop........ and looking at the satellite - I don't know when it will - any news yet on the names for the 2004 season - by he way as well as rain, we are getting abnormal winds for this time of year - an omen - I hope not............ good luck to England in Barbados

Hello all from Grenada, well, can't be caught napping can we, even though we are way way down the island chain, it certainly woke everyone up in the Yacht Club, there was a definite murmur of voices!!!!!!  Rogue or whatever, Prof Grey is making some predictions of a busier season to come, but will it be a long time before Bill is christened, I hope so - on a better topic - well done Lara first century in Trinidad test - also does anyone else think that the Aussi Gillespie looks like Alan Rickman who played the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood, Price of Thieves, will be carrying placard at one day in Grenada "Gillespie IS the Sheriff" - watch out for it - take care everyone - looking forward to reading all your posts ............
