hi all,
as usual Super Dave saved the night at the Sugar Bay Blues Fest by calling on a
higher Power...Not a drop during Elvin Bishop's show
by the pool at Sugar Bay Resort on St Thomas. Best blues we have heard
in a long time.Only minor Squalls today, but it seems we will get some
outflow(ie: sheer) from the system south of us.Beautiful now, breezy and
hazy.Congrats Gert, all the best for you and all,
Huck

- Quiet so far

Hello to all. It seems like I haven't written anything in ages. That's not necessarily a bad thing though!

The Atlantic and Caribbean have been quiet for the most part. It is good to finally see some rain after quite a few weeks of semi-drought conditions. It has been hot already this season and we are only into June with the hottest yet to come. Yuk!

The Virgin Islands are looking pretty good. The focus of anything weather related has been on earthquakes with hurricanes a distant second. Preparation is key for both events.

Dave

- Time to prepare!

Hello to all after a relatively quiet "winter" here in the Caribbean! Hurricane Awareness Week is here and it's time to start preparing your families action plans and taking stock of supplies as the start of the 2002 season nears. Saturday is Family Preparedness Day when the opportunity should be taken to sit down and discuss your families needs for hurricane season as well, agree on emergency plans, and exactly what each member of the families role will be in the event a storm approaches.

No, this isn't sounding the "alarm" but it is never too early to be thinking about the next 6 months as time flies by all too quickly and when it comes to crunch time, everyone will be rushing to complete what should have been completed or looking for supplies. Unfortunately, it might be too late then.

I will be back on June 4th as I am going to the states before season starts. Take care and welcome back everyone!!

Dave
