Good morning all,
A very dark and rainy morning here on STJ...dark like evening and raining pretty hard.  We’ve had a good amount over the past 24 hr  and the cistern is FULL , almost to over-flowing.  Looks like we are in for more in the next few days, so the towels are out in full force and the de-humidifier is up and running !    Stay dry and enjoy the rainy  day !

Hey all,
We had a crazy, big rainy, kind of windy night last night.  Here in Cruz Bay we got probably about 4 inches of rain  total, but had only a lot of lightning and only thunder rumbles....no BIG ones...or else I would have been in the closet with the cats (yes..seroiusly  : )  }   They, all, 4 of them,  kept me good company all night...meow...
My towel brigade did not hold up too well with all of the rain that came through the roof in the kitchen...I had a ‘slip-n-slide’ kind of adventure this morning, from the bedroom to the kitchen...better now...but now I’ll have to wash and dry the Brigade. And of course the Intex pool was almost over-flowing so I had to empty a bit of it..
Surprisingly...there were crews out on the roads this morning removing rocks and debris and cleaning up a bit.  I still hit a few tough spots coming out of town, but otherwise really good.  I’ve also heard that  Centerline Rd from Coral Bay was also in pretty good condition....Keep the faith !

Good morning from Cruz Bay
We had some pretty good rain and downpours yesterday...but actually had a pretty decent sunset at the end before it turned rainy again.
By the look of the Satellite image we should be getting some heavy weather...but right now only light rain and breezy.  Overnight there was a pretty continuous  lightning show.  Lots of flashes but really no thunder, or rain or wind.  Then at about 4:00 am it got windy/gusty quickly and the lightning picked up, but with only distant rumbling and light rain.  I thought for sure we were going to get it big-time...kept waiting and anticipating...but around 5:30 am it quieted down to just light rain.  The USVI are not under a Tropical storm watch or warning, but flash flood advisories are in place until Friday.   There is still that other wave to our East to keep an eye on, but it has little chance for development.  Break out the umbrellas for the next few days folks  !!!
Stay dry  : )        lowcalval

Hey all,
Looking  at the radar and weather reports it’s supposed to be ..well..un-pleasant ..but..it’s been a really nice , breezy, sunny day here in Cruz Bay... had some quality time out in the Intex pool...LOVE that thing when I don’t have time to get to the beach ...or just want to chill at home....
Here’s to small Islands..However do keep alert for other potentials
Cheers

Good morning from Cruz Bay!
Lots of rain yesterday afternoon and again overnight.  We’ve been getting a fair amount of rain lately with a few waves coming through.  Looks like more over the weekend but we’ll see.  All is quiet here with the off-season in full swing...un-crowded beaches...lots of places/restaurants closed for vacation...very few tourists...ahhh !  This weekend is our Love City Triathlon and Aquathon...let’s hope the weather behaves  ':  )
Have a great day

Good morning all
Well...here in Cruz Bay on St John,we have not had a drop of rain and only light breezes over night and this morning.  It is cloudy and we still may have some rain as the storm moves away.  I think the surfers are going to be out in force this morning though !!!  Looking to the East...the soldiers are lining up and yes...I have washed the towel brigade    : )
Have a great day !

- Rain ahead of 95L

Things are actually looking nice and green on the Coral Bay side of the island.
We have had a day full of white-out periods of rain, alternating with areas of
blue in the sky as we keep an eye on 95L. If that rolls through, it could come
as early as Tuesday, based on current movement.

Since 7 this a.m., we picked up over an inch of rain with more expected during
the next few hours. Most of it has come in quick dumps - .15 inch here; .2
there, etc.

It seems a little early in the summer to be bringing in outside items for the
hurricane season, but there is no time like the present. This means picking up
the things outside that we can make do without from now til late October.

Hello folks !
Welcome back from our hiatus !  Today, here in Cruz Bay on St John we are having intermittent thunder and lightning and very dark skies. No real breeze or wind and so far not much rain.  The thunder and lightning (so far) have not been severe enough to send me to hide in the closet with the cats !  This lovely weather is coutesy of a small tropical wave perched just over the VI and PR.  Flash flood warnings were issued but as said , the rain has been minimal. So on top of our lovely weather today, I was pulled over because I ‘forgot’ to re-register and inspect my 1998 Suzuki Sidekick. To top that off, my parking lights just happened to not be working....so, 0ff to get that repaired  $$, then back to DMV for inspection $, then re-register the Babe $    Yippee !!!!   On a good note, well there are ALWAYS positives, the Carnival flags have started to be put up..and we all know what that means  : )   Stay dry and keep an eye on the sky !
