Hello Everyone,
Like the rest of the islands, we have been busy cleaning up the damage. Electricity was restored to most of the island Thursday morning. The big waves were the cause for the worst damage on the island. Our dive shop had damage on the seaside but at least it is all fixable. Our boat was on land behind the harbour in place we thought would be safe. It appears it was moved about 30feet. We could not get to the boat because the entire area was covered with boulders. Our small ro ro pier  was damaged as was the dive shop next to it. All boats were pulled but it appears at least one fishing boat was destroyed. All the beach was taken away as it was in Lenny. I feel that Omar caused more wave damage then Lenny on Statia. We received 6 inches of rain from Wednesday morning to Thursday morning and almost four inches between Saturday and Wednesday. It has been raining off and on all day today. I am still glad I live in Paradise!!!!
I will try and send some pictures tomorrow.

All the best to everyone and hoping this is the last for the season.

Rinda
