With the last rains this afternoon, there were many floods, fallen trees and landslides  throughout the island (north and south); some roads are cut off, fortunately only material damages were reported but some people lost everything!
This tropical wave which has become tropical depression number nine seems to have surprised people.

As it was the case in St Lucia, we had a lot of rain in Martinique mainly yesterday afternoon and last night,  and some wind gusts from time to time, thunder and lightenings. IT rained this morning and the forecast is rain till tomorrow morning.
No important floods were reported and that's a good thing! But we are already watching the Atlantic ocean for the next waves which seem more organized.

Here in Martinique it's seriously clouding over, we had few showers this morning but now there are thunderstorms  over the sea. ON the radio they said that the worst conditions would be over the southern islands and the NHC seemed to say the opposite. Now it's starting to rain and we can feel the wind a little more.
